Friden 1166 Logic Schematic
This is a logic-level schematic for the
Friden 1166.
The schematic includes all of the logic for the calculator
at the gate and flip-flop level.
The schematic only includes the circuitry
located on the plug-in circuit boards, and does not include the power supply.
The numbers preceded by a "U" inside the logic symbols indicates
the board number and IC package on the board in which the logic element
exists. The first digit after the "U" indicates the board number, and the
next two digits indicate the package number on the board. Packages on
the circuit boards are numbered beginning at U1, starting at the upper left-hand corner of the
circuit board, moving horizontally across the board with the package number
sequentially incrementing, moving row at a time, left to right, through the
package at the lower right-most point on the board. In general,
the package number is identified by etched notations on the circuit board
near each package. For example, U312, is on board #3, and is the 12th
package on the board (marked on the board as U12), which is the "A Counter"
IC, Part Number SN1286.
