Toshiba BC-1623G Programmable Desktop Calculator
The BC-1623G is an enhancement to Toshiba's BC-1623 calculator. The
BC-1623G adds 30-step programmability to the BC-1623. The BC-1623G uses the same bipolar IC technology
as the BC-1623, but adds memory and circuitry to store and execute small programs of up to 30 steps.
This allows the calculator to be programmed for repetitive types of calculations that that can be executed with a
single key-press. All of the keyboard functions of the calculator may be stored into program memory by simply entering
the calculations on the keyboard when the calculator is in "learn" mode. The programs are simple linear sequences
of steps, with no capability for conditional testing, branching or looping. The BC-1623G otherwise has all of the
features of the BC-1623, including the basic four math functions along with square root, and a single accumulator-style
memory register. For more information about the functionality of the BC-1623, see the
Wanted page for the calculator.
The Old Calculator Museum is interested in acquiring both the BC-1623 and BC-1623G calculators. If you have either of these
calculators and are looking for a new home for them, please let us know by clicking the
EMail button in the menu-bar above.
