This page is from a mid-1971 edition of Wang
Laboratories' Field Facts
periodical, outlining the competitive positioning
and sales strategy for Wang's
Wang 100-Series,
500-Series,
600-Series, and the
700-Series calculators. The
Field Facts periodical was distributed to Wang sales and service
personnel, as well as distributors, and provided product information
and sales strategy information useful to sell and service Wang calculators
in a highly competitive market at the time. Note the references to
Wang's perception of it's primary competitors -- Compucorp/Monroe, Olivetti, and
Hewlett Packard. The reference to the Hewlett Packard 9800-10 is somewhat
of a misnomer for the HP 9810.
