Casio √001 Desktop Calculator

The √Casio 001 is Casio's second electronic calculator, introduced in January of 1966, preceded by the Casio 001, introduced three months prior. The √001 is visually virtually identical to the 001, but adds an automatic square root function. The same mechanical hardware is shared between the two machines, with differences in the electronics to add the square root function. The rest of the functions of the calculator are the same as with the 001. The knobs across the front of the calculator can be set to provide a seven digit constant number that could be recalled for repetitive use, for example, a discount rate applied to numerous items. If you have one of these calculators please contact us via the "EMail" link at the top of the page.
